What to know before you hire a public adjuster in Virginia
You are not required to hire a public adjuster, and the adjuster must give you a separate disclosure saying so.
You have the right to cancel a public adjuster contract within three business days of signing, or five business days after a declared catastrophic disaster.
A public adjuster may not collect a fee, retainer or deposit before your claim is settled.

What does a public adjuster cost?
Our fee is typically a percentage of the insurance claim proceeds and generally ranges from 10% to 30%, depending on the type and complexity of the claim and services required. Your exact fee is discussed upfront and clearly stated in your written agreement before representation begins.
Can you guarantee a higher settlement?
No. Every claim is different, and no public adjuster can guarantee a specific outcome or settlement amount. What we can do is thoroughly evaluate and document your loss, prepare an accurate scope, present the claim to your insurance carrier, and advocate for the full amount you are entitled to under your policy.
Are you an attorney?
No. We are licensed public adjusters, not attorneys, and we do not provide legal advice. If your claim involves legal issues outside the scope of public adjusting, we can work alongside your attorney when appropriate.
